Today we are in Clanita, Teleorman county, at the Holleman Agro Prod farm, where we will talk with Mr. Marius Someșan. In the Holleman farm, approximately 1700 hectares are worked around Frasinet commune in Teleorman county.
Marius uses Vantage solutions for tracking, to have a good farm management and for making work more efficient.

What was Vantage’s ideal solution for Holleman Farm?
“We use the Vantage platform, GeoScan with integrated FarmTrack, where we track the NDVI index. In addition to the possibility of creating maps for variable rate fertilization or variable rate sowing, we also track the crops condition,and the evolution of the crops.”
How did the GeoScan solution help Marius?
“During periods of heavier rain, immediately after we receive a map, we can get an idea if we have puddles or more serious problems somewhere and we need to intervene for drainage. During the harvest period, according to the vegetation index, we can determine for each individual area, when is the right time to go with the combine and try the humidity of the products without wasting time.”
“When we’re not on the farm, we can also watch from the mobile very easily, to monitor what’s happening in the field.”
How did Marius Someșan reduce his fuel costs with FarmTrack?
“We have the solution to fully monitor diesel consumption from the pump to the level of each individual parcel. At the end of the year, we can see for each individual plot what diesel consumption we had, so we can calculate our costs very well from the fuel point of view as well.”
